Kelsey & Zach | Intimate Chicago Wedding at Morgan’s on Fulton

August 21, 2022

a photo of couple on their wedding at the emily hotel in chicago illinois

One of my favorite venues in the West Loop.

This Morgan’s on Fulton wedding. (!!!!!) Not only was it an absolutely perfect day from start to finish, it was a reminder of why I love this job so much.

Kelsey and Zach are 100% my kind of people (if you didn’t already see their engagement photos, click here) and their day was a true reflection of their personalities from start to finish. Simple but elegant (peep their FLORALS!!!), easy going, and full of love and laughter. They chose to do a first look prior to their ceremony and opted not to have a wedding party which was such a breath of fresh air. We were able to walk around the West Loop and take our time with wedding portraits, and made the best pit stop for Jeni’s limited edition Wedding Cake ice cream. When we returned to the hotel, all of their immediate family was waiting for them in the lobby and we knocked out all of their family photos prior to making our way to Morgan’s on Fulton, one of my favorite little venues in the West Loop.

“There truly are not enough positive things that can be said about working with Arielle. If she’s available for your wedding, don’t even think about it for another second- just book her immediately.” – Kelsey and Zach

Their ceremony and reception was perfect. You could feel how intimate this wedding was and how deeply loved they are by every guest in attendance. Zach can’t eat gluten, so they opted for a champagne tower instead of cake which was amazing, and the best late night snack I have ever had at a wedding: Small Cheval.

Amidst me bracing for a very busy September and October, Kelsey and Zach’s day was everything I could have asked for and more. It was SO HARD to pick favorites, but scroll to see a little peek at their day:

Like… how freaking stunning is Kelsey?! The most stunning, simple dress paired with the most beautiful color palette of florals.
ROO. So happy they got to share a moment with their sweetest girl.

hi, i'm ARIELLE.

You can usually find me home with my golden retriever or day dreaming of my next trip to Italy.

I am a firm believer in living life with purpose and never missing the opportunity to experience something new. The Meyers-Briggs test says I am an INFJ with ESFJ qualities (an introverted extrovert, IYKYK), and my friends say I am the person they come to when they need comfort, advice, or fresh baked goods. I consider myself an empath, so special moments you share with your loved ones will likely get me all teary eyed and sentimental. I am not here to pretend life is picture perfect, but to capture genuine emotion and create timeless pieces of art to decorate your home. I’m constantly striving for perfection, but have a calming personality and am relatively easy going.

When the camera is not around my neck, I am a big home body. I love hanging on the couch with my dog, making pasta, breads and desserts from scratch, squatting 400+ pounds in the gym, or plotting my next trip outside of the US. As a direct descendant of Italian immigrants, I feel most at home in Italy (and speak a bit of Italian, too.)

Arielle has photographed over 175 weddings across 12 states, 5 countries, and 3 continents. While her heart beats for coastal and countryside Italian weddings, she is willing to travel anywhere and everywhere to document your day.
