This wedding. (!!!!!) Not only was it an absolutely perfect day from start to finish, it was a reminder of why I love this job so much. Kelsey and Zach are 100% my kind of people (if you didn’t already see their engagement photos, click here) and their day was a true reflection of their personalities from start to finish. Simple but elegant (peep their FLORALS!!!), easy going, and full of love and laughter. They chose to do a first look prior to their ceremony and opted not to have a wedding party which was such a breath of fresh air. We were able to walk around the West Loop and take our time with wedding portraits, and made the best pit stop for Jeni’s limited edition Wedding Cake ice cream. When we returned to the hotel, all of their immediate family was waiting for them in the lobby and we knocked out all of their family photos prior to making our way to Morgan’s on Fulton, one of my favorite little venues in the West Loop.
Their ceremony and reception was perfect. You could feel how intimate this wedding was and how deeply loved they are by every guest in attendance. Zach can’t eat gluten, so they opted for a champagne tower instead of cake which was amazing, and the best late night snack I have ever had at a wedding: Small Cheval. Amidst me bracing for a very busy September and October, Kelsey and Zach’s day was everything I could have asked for and more. It was SO HARD to pick favorites, but scroll to see a little peek at their day:
