Olivia & Ryan | Summer Engagement Session at Chain O’ Lakes

This engagement session looks like it was straight out of a movie and I am a little too obsessed with it.

I’ve known Olivia since 2015 (we met through Instagram during Instagram’s prime) and it was almost seven years to the date since I had last photographed her. When she got engaged last year, I was beyond excited for her to reach out because she is not only one of the sweetest humans on the planet, she’s a freakin’ dream to photograph. Her mood board was a combo of Dirty Dancing, sunsets on the beach, and a lil splash of country; and I think we exceeded both of our expectations for this session. Olivia and Ryan live out on the Chain O’ Lakes (way up North close to the border of Illinois and Wisconsin if you aren’t familiar) so we planned for two locations: a little patch of farmland near their house, and the lake in their neighborhood. She sent me her outfits before hand and we had everything planned out prior to shooting, which is one of the biggest keys to getting the most out of your experience with your photographer.
