Mary and Miles’ Oak Park Country Club Wedding was the same weekend as my own the year prior, so this one felt special. Bold colors, big wedding parties, and a room filled with tangible joy. Over summer 2025, I was very fortunate to shoot so many color forward weddings, and this day was no exception. Sunset hues paired with perfect shades of lime and chartreuse? Perfection. Chartreuse is one of my favorite (and brand) colors, so anytime I get a bridesmaid dress in that perfect shade of green I am all over it.
Oak Park is slowly becoming of my favorite suburbs (because of a lil place called Broken Tart but also because of the Frank Lloyd Wright district homes), and it was a treat to be able to shoot both Mary and Miles’ getting ready photos in two, beautiful FLW district homes.
Oak Park Country Club
The ceremony took place at a small church in Oak Park, and the reception took place at Oak Park Country Club. While some may see a country club wedding and think stuffy ballroom and golf course photos, Mary and Miles opted to pitch a sail cloth tent at the club and it was perfect. If you know me, you know I am a big tent gal and had my own sail cloth tent wedding in 2024. There is something so dreamy and ethereal about a wedding reception under a tent. It makes me so happy that I have several tent weddings in 2026!
