A Dreamy Flowers for Dreams Wedding at The Dalcy Chicago
An end of summer dream happened this August with Emma and Kevin a Fulton Market staple, The Dalcy Chicago. Unique blooms? Check. Perfectly mismatched bridesmaid dresses? Another check. South Gardens of the Art Institute for photos? Check again. Now, add a perfect temperature and an all-star vendor team. The result? A seamless wedding day from start to finish, and one that allows the couple to be fully present with their family and friends.
To know my clients is to know they love intentional details, and this wedding day was no exception. Emma envisioned a moody sunset palette with black and white details (namely the invites and dance floor) and the floral and design team delivered. Emma’s now brother in law Steve owns Flowers for Dreams, and boy did he and the team make dreams come true.
Following getting ready at her parents condo in Lincoln Park, Emma and Kevin did their first look across the street at the Chicago History Museum, followed by wedding party photos at the Art Institute and a few more at The Dalcy. The couple had a traditional Jewish ceremony to lean into Kevin’s family roots, followed by an Irish band at cocktail hour on the terrace at Aba to lean into Emma’s. The pair opted to have a large head table for their people, and had a reception full of touching toasts by their people, and a rocking dance floor thanks to Gold Coast Allstars. Scroll to see some of my favorites from their day.
