I am no stranger to a Morton Arboretum wedding. After three of them last season, it felt SO nice to be back at my favorite gardens with Phoebe and Ben for a hot August day! This time, it was at their newest event space, The Firefly Pavilion. It was an absolute treat to photograph this space during it’s inaugural summer.
Phoebe got ready at her parents in Naperville while Ben got ready the Marriott in Naperville before heading to the Arboretum for their first look. Bens’s reaction to seeing Phoebe (and their private vow exchange after) was one of many highlights from the day. The florals were elegant greens and white roses, the decor fit the vibe perfectly, and we couldn’t have had a more perfect day.
Wedding Photography at the Morton Arboretum
Dreaming of a lush wedding background with lots of greenery and gardens? You’re in the right place. The Morton Arboretum offers a charming and unique setting for your wedding day, as you’ll have access to all of the grounds for photos. With its breathtaking landscapes, lush gardens, and stunning architecture, the Morton Arboretum is really one of the best photo-ops in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago.
The Details
Phoebe got ready at her parents home, while Ben got ready at a hotel near by. It is not often that I get photograph getting ready photos in someone’s home these days (unless it is an epic backyard wedding), but there is something so sweet about a bride getting ready in her childhood home. Phoebe’s grandparents also live in the house nextdoor, so it was beyond sweet to see them walk over through their adjoining backyards to see Phoebe after she got dressed :’)
The First Look
I have a secret favorite spot at the Morton Arboretum. Fortunately it was available when we got there for the first look, and it was my absolute favorite part of the wedding day.
