Walden Chicago Wedding Photography

Surreal to think that my September 2023 was so busy, and September 2024 is empty because I am getting married. 🥹 So, throwing it back to Amanda and Colin’s wedding at the Walden Chicago. This was my first time work at the Walden, and it was an absolute treat.

The weather was perfect, the wedding party was fun, and every part of the day was thoughtful and intentional. As I prepare for a busy May and June, it is my goal to continue to encourage couples to focus on being present on wedding day without feeling the pressure to carve out an excessive amount of time for staged photos. My clients often say that their favorite photos are those in between, candid moments, and those usually come by having time to be present. If you have a wedding party, pick one location to have them take photos with you, not two. It makes a world of difference and puts so much less rush into the day. Amanda and Colin did just that, and it resulted in a very laid back, fun environment for both them and their wedding party. Highly recommend.

First Looks

Amanda had the sweetest first look with her dad that had everyone laughing after he gave her a “two thumbs up” rating for her fit. I also have a two thumbs up kind of dad so I loved this moment and the smiles that came with it.

The Venue

The cool thing about a Walden Chicago Wedding? They are one of the only venues in Chicago that includes full service planning with their rental fee! Their planners are INCREDIBLE and I cannot express how wonderful it is to work with them. They made my couple’s day run smoothly from start to finish and were so much fun to work with. If you are looking for a venue in Chicago that is reasonably priced with great amenities, the Walden is that girl.
