June has been a good month for beautiful weddings. Claire and Ifad’s wedding at Ravenswood Event Center was no exception this past weekend. I hadn’t met the pair in person prior to the wedding, but Claire and I immediately hit it off and it made their day a breeze. The pair got ready at the Westin Michigan Avenue, so we did their first look and portraits in the stunning courtyard of Fourth Presbyterian Church across the street. If this spot wasn’t on Michigan Avenue I would gatekeep the eff out of it, but it is a gorgeous spot for photos. Claire had her first look with Ifad in her stunning Bridal Lehenga, and made an outfit change mid portraits into her Western attire. Multiple outfit changes are so fun to photograph, so if you’re ever on the fence, here’s your sign to just do it.
Ravenswood Event Center
Following photos, the pair and their crew made their way over to Ravenswood for their ceremony and reception. I am fairly certain their ceremony was the fastest ceremony I have ever witnessed, but it gave us extra time for portraits in Ravenswood Event Center’s vintage car museum so we weren’t mad at it.
This season, I have been intentionally shooting a pack of polaroids at every wedding, and when I tell you it has been absolute magic I mean it. Not only is it a crowd pleaser, it’s a fun lil gift I can give my clients after their wedding day. Claire and Ifad’s polaroids were so good that I took them home with me to scan so y’all can see ’em.
