Intercontinental Chicago Wedding Photography | Theresa + Daniel

Couple watching fireworks off the roof of the Intercontinental Chicago on their wedding day

This month is insane, but there are so many beautiful moments to share. I am so grateful to have such a stacked month of gorgeous weddings. Looking for an iconic Chicago wedding venue in the heart of the Mag Mile? Look no further than the Intercontinental Chicago. Looking for a glimpse into Intercontinental Chicago wedding photography done in a timeless, yet modern way? Keep scrolling 🙂

Theresa and Daniel wed on a perfect Saturday in June surrounded by their closest family and friends. The couple opted for a classic green and white color palette and were thoughtful with every detail throughout the day. Everything happened from start to finish at the Intercon, which makes it an easy day for photography. We did venture to the Wrigley Building for portraits and group photos, and we couldn’t have asked for a nicer day.

Icing on the Cake

Following the opening of the dance floor to guests, Theresa, Daniel and I snuck away from guests and were brought up to the rooftop of the venue to watch fireworks over Navy Pier. It was perfect.

Pro-photo tip at the Intercontinental: The old side doors are better for photos than the gold doors on Michigan Avenue IMO. Less foot traffic!

The ceremony and reception took place inside of the Peninsula Ballroom and it was stunning.
