Iykyk, but Chicago studio maternity photos with my Chicago mommas have been poppin’ off in the last year. Absolutely linking every single one that I have shot recently because they are too good not to share. Sheradin and Tom were no exception to this the other week at A Darling Studio in Wicker Park. The one thing all of these sessions have in common is that they were thoughtfully curated by each couple/mom – they all shared their pinterest boards with me beforehand and had visions for their sessions. Studio photo sessions; whether they are engagements, headshots, couples or maternity, is the time where I can shift away from the documentary approach I take to wedding day and focus on a stylized approach. I provide a bit more direction in these sessions, we discuss outfit/background selection, and we’re intentional about lighting.
I photographed Sheradin and Tom’s elopement last spring, and was absolutely thrilled when Sheradin reached out shortly after announcing they were expecting a baby girl. She showed up to their session in the cutest Anthropologie dress (it’s sold out and no longer available on their site, but linking it used here) for more formal photos, then changed into jeans and tees for their second look.
