If you recognize these two, it’s because there are photos of them from their wedding and engagement plastered all over my website. Adriana and Mitch were one of my 2020 clients, and IYKYK how hard that year was for wedding vendors and couples, so their intimate backyard wedding at Mitchell’s parent’s home holds a special place in my heart. I was so, so thrilled when Adri reached out in the summer wanting to schedule a Chicago studio maternity session. Studio sessions have been the absolute viiiiibe for my maternity session clients this year and I have absolutely loved photographing all of these beautiful, creative, empowered mommas during their session. Adriana is absolutely glowing and it was such a joy to photograph her and Mitch! Scroll to see some of my favorites from their session at A Darling Studio.
Chicago Studio Maternity Session
Studio sessions are a great way to shoot in a controlled environment with little variables. You can pick a time of day where the light is even, or a time when it’s dramatic and harsh. Want your background to match your outfit? Done. A stool to sit on? Also done. Using a studio is a great way to have a little more control over your images. If you are looking for a more editorial vibe, I highly recommend going the studio route. There are plenty to rent in Chicago on peerspace, but there are also wonderful independent studios who operate without a third party advertising site.
