Suz and Adam’s wedding was my first of busy season and I am SO grateful we had beautiful weather (the last 40+ days of rain and no sunshine have been brutal on my well being, and I am sure a lot of you can relate.) I am a veteran of their venue, The Haight, but whenever I shoot at a venue frequently I find ways to make my couple’s photos unique to avoid my own feelings of redundancy. For these two it meant shooting wedding party photos and portraits off site in downtown Elgin, as well as taking advantage of gorgeous spring blooms. My favorite part of the day was Susanna’s Grandma, lovingly known as Guma, rolling down the aisle as flower girl and tossing rose petals.
