Brody + Gen

THIS SESSION Y’ALL.

It was my last one of 2019, and Brody and Gen absolutely crushed it. We had unseasonably warm weather and took advantage of it at North Avenue Beach. Brody is from the burbs and Gen is from Kalamazoo; they currently live in Memphis, and neither of them have seen the skyline in person from this view. The light was maaaagical, and I had a blast getting to know these two kind humans as we snapped their photos. I might be a little bias (or just delirious from a long month), but these may be some of my favorites from this year. I cannot wait to shoot their wedding in Michigan next year.

I asked Brody to whisper in Gen’s ear something he was excited about for the wedding. She needed a second to compose herself after and it was the sweetest thing.

2019 ended with a great personal loss, and it has been hard to continue on with running my business these last few weeks, but I am grateful for clients who have shown me so much love and patience as I’ve rescheduled, pushed back deadlines, and tried to regain my bearings. Here’s to a new decade and new adventures in 2020.
